ALMOND BRIDGE

A fantastic modern image exhibition layout and one I have been waiting to see "in the flesh" for a long time.  Huge on the Scottish exhibition circuit in recent years, the visit to Warley was a major boost for this layout and its English fans.  Featuring a huge station, plus of course, as hinted at by the layout name, a bridge ... or two!  This layout also features a small Container Terminal plus a host of continously running trains through well constructed scenery.

STACKTON TRESSELL

This is the first of Stafford Railway Circle's layouts that are firmly ensconsed within my Top 20 Layout Chart.  I have been a firm follower of this since first spotting it at the Stafford show back in 2007.   This layout features a five platformed station (one through line and four terminating) plus a junction.  Each of the two diverging routes dive into cuttings before disappearing into tunnels and on to the fiddle yard.  The main scenic attraction is the abbey ruins high above the station.  The main attraction of this layout for me is the station throat.  James and his co-operator's "party-piece" is allowing two trains to depart side by side, then they diverge onto each of the two junction routes.  Highly entertaining!
